Avril Hall and Sophie Searle are the dynamic duo behind Rocket Fulfilment. Their passion and leadership are at the heart of Rocket’s culture, one built on trust, care, and long-term relationships.
Avril holds a 2:1 BA Hons degree in Business Management from The University of Birmingham. She began her career in Asset Management with Credit Suisse and BlackRock, before leaving the city to pursue a self-employed future.
Sophie, who graduated with a 1:1 BA Hons degree in Fashion Design from The University of Hertfordshire, began her career as Wholesale and Logistics Co-Ordinator for a fast-growing luxury cashmere brand.
Together, Avril and Sophie share a bond that spans over three decades, often leading clients to believe they’re sisters. Their complementary skillsets and unshakeable alignment drive Rocket Fulfilment’s success and help them achieve their mission of providing first-class fulfilment services. The strength of their partnership is also what sustains Rocket's family-like culture, one that they are incredibly proud of.
Our History
Co-founded in 2017 by lifelong family friends Avril Hall and Sophie Searle, Rocket Fulfilment quickly built a strong reputation in the industry for its delicate and attentive approach to pick-and-pack services.
After securing their first contract with a global brand based in Miami, Avril and Sophie expanded their client base closer to home, working across a variety of industries.
It became clear that Rocket’s foundation as a female-founded company was a unique selling point, appealing to both male and female ecommerce business owners alike.
By 2022, Rocket needed more space to meet growing demand, so they acquired a second warehouse - luckily, one was available right next door – Rocket doubled in size.
To support the fast-growing and diverse client portfolio, Avril and Sophie focused on carefully hiring talented and conscientious warehouse operatives who shared the company’s core values. Rocket’s first hire is still with the company today, a testament to the strong culture, trust, and long-term relationships built within the team.
In 2024, Avril and Sophie secured a third warehouse near Stansted Airport. This new facility, the largest of the three, became the headquarters of Rocket Fulfilment.
In 2025, taking occupancy of a fourth warehouse doubled the capacity of the HQ location.
The company has experienced mainly organic growth, thanks to a loyal client base that has been eager to recommend Rocket’s 5* fulfilment service. With plans to double in size again by 2027, the future is filled with exciting potential.
The Rocket Dogs
Rocket Fulfilment was named after Avril and Sophie’s Dachshunds, who, when excited, switch into "rocket mode." With their ears pinned back and tails tucked under, they race with boundless energy, bringing joy and excitement to everyone around them. These little morale-boosting Rocket Dogs have been a part of the company from the very beginning. Their unrivalled lead conversion rates and ability to create a positive working atmosphere have made them cherished fixtures around Rocket’s premises.
